Diagnostics is almost useless, it is just a snapshot of what you get on your dash and in the remotelink

I rarely use those pages in remotelink too, I just use the remote functions

I would love to know how you managed the Google Now Auto start of the vehicle. I have a rooted Note 3 (and an unrooted Note 4 (AT&T), which I assume I cannot use), and a Moto 360. I have downloaded all items on your list. A step by step set of instructions would be awesome. I spent all day yesterday researching. I think I figured a few pieces out, but not how to tap buttons on the various screens in the Remote Link app once it is open, or how to enter pin.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

FYI - love the mods on your truck. Pretty awesome. I have a 2013 Escalade ESV. I especially liked the qi charger idea.

Regards,

You might need an android device at home to do the automation, siri to run a macro to send a message to trigger the android to run the RemoteLink app on android. iOS is too limited.

I mostly use Remotelink for the Vehicle Status page. I know it's just what you can see on your dash, but it's good for if you need to know some of that info without having to go to the truck. I have used it for the remote start, but really only once, most of the time I'm close enough for the fob to be able to do it. Plus I found out that if you remote start and then cancel it both through the Remotelink app (was seeing how fast it worked and kind of playing with it) that you can't use the fob to start the truck. I guess it's a safety thing where if you use your app it won't let you use the fob unless you put the key in. Once you do that the fob will work again.

Can I second this? I'm really tempted to try playing around with this, even though I'm not extremely keen on rooting my phone...

yes, a nice write up on setup and instructions would be awesome on how to make this work.

I will write something up soon, I will also host the scripts needed. (so it does not need too much work to get it up and going)

You will need to spend a couple of dollars on the Android Play Store and have a Rooted phone for sure to get everything working.

Hope your home network is locked down, or you just created an easy way for someone to unlock your truck and steal stuff. Not trying to be negative, just seeing additional access points for theft.
