2015 Sierra 1500 - E85 capable?

I've been trying to figure this out also. The 14's and 15's have the same alcohol content sensor, same part number. Same injectors, same fuel pump. Hoping it is just an enabling in the ECM.

just spoke with a friend of mine who works for GM. He gets to drive every new vehicle to "spot" any possible problem before the vehicles go to production. ( actually he gets paid to "abuse" pre-production vehicles to find any weak links). He thinks it's probably a fuel mix sensor somewhere in the fuel line/fuel system. Depending on the system design, it could be just a simple add on, but he wasn't sure. He will talk to someone in their engineering dpt and let me know if it is possible to upgrade.

E85 saves me $500-$600 year...

From GM techlink regarding the 2014 Sierra:

Flexible Fuel Sensor

The flexible fuel sensor of the 4.3L V6 and 5.3L V8 measures the ethanol-gasoline ratio of the fuel being used in a flexible fuel (E85 capable) engine. Flexible fuel vehicles can be operated with a blend of ethanol and gasoline, up to 85 percent ethanol.

Since the flexible fuel sensor measures the actual percentage of ethanol in the fuel, it is no longer necessary to wait for an empty fuel tank in order to refill with E85. The flexible fuel sensor measures the two different fuel related parameters, and sends an electrical signal to the ECM to indicate ethanol percentage and fuel temperature.

The flexible fuel sensor uses quick-connect style fuel connections, an incoming fuel connection, and an outgoing fuel connection. All fuel passes through the flexible fuel sensor before continuing on to the fuel rail.

Has anyone found what can be added to the truck? I have a 2016 chevy silvarado 1500 5.3 v8 that i would like to add flexfule to it. I have asked the dealership if they can do it, they said they could not find it in there system.

Search on this forum. There is a thread dedicated to the conversion.
