22" Wheels Question

Why would I need to have the dealer mess with the computer on the car? Both wheels would have the same overall diameter so the speedometer would not need to be updated.

I was under the impression, from what I have read, that you would need to take it in to the dealer to update the pcm so the speedo and the mpg/etc stuff works. Is that not correct going from oem 20s to oem 22s? You will not lose any mpg going from 20s to 22s?

That would make my choice even easier, I would def get the 22s. I also agree with others, no way I would pay 3k and lose my oem 20s. I will be purchasing the ebay knockoffs

it involves a flash but my dealer wouldn't do it. they said the difference wouldn't be very much going from 20s to 22s. i did it myself with a tuner.

I just put on a set of 22" replica CK375s on my '14 Silverado. I have not had any issues with them whatsoever. Tires and wheels were purchased all for 2k.

Can you link where you got your replicas from?

Best place I've found is OEM Wheels LLC

Thanks man, didn't know about that site. Interestingly enough, if you type in "22" GMC Replica wheels" in Ebay you get great results too.

I found these that I really, really like.

They even have the Matching GMC Wheel Cap.

I found these Chrome and Black Replicas on OemWheelsLLC too

There should be no reason that your mpg reading or speedometer would be different since the overall diameter of the wheel with tire is the same between 20 & 22" rims.
