Oh man it sounds so freakin badass! My install was super clean too I have to give myself credit. It is sounding better and better each day and louder too.

 

What size did you order the pipe? 3.5"

I will have a Pypes Electric Cutout and 3" Y-pipe up for sale in a few days. I had it on my truck for four days and ended up taking it off and getting a magnaflow. It worked great. Opened and closed at a push of a button. If your interested let me know. I'll let it go for pretty cheap compared to new.

Ya I ordered a 3.5" "custom" from what badlandz calls it. Still works awesome no issues so far. I have a mean sounding truck. Problem is I am so busy at work by the time I get off its dark so I cant record a video. Hopefully on one of my days off.

Awesome, I'm gonna order mine today. Just don't know if I should put it after the 3rd cat or replace the 3rd cat with it.

I am going to cut off my 3rd cat and replace it with just some piping. Then just keep it for later. Then get long tube headers when I can afford them. My exhaust cutout is currently between the 3rd cat and the Muffler. No point in having the cat I already have an illegal exhaust lol

Exactly lol I'm assuming if yours about 25% louder with the cat in place then if I put mine in place of the third cat it'll be even louder? Honestly my big worry is it not being loud enough in between the cat and muffler haha.

Just ordered a 3.5" Badlandz cutout. Let's see how long it takes to get here, hope it makes my truck sounds beastly!

I like the tip dumping it down, did you use just a regular angled tip? 3.5" one right? or is the exit tube on the cutout a different size?

 

edit* my buddy Mike1220 just gutted his 3rd cat. Has a cutout too, and he said the truck's extremely loud now. Message him, I'm sure he'll tell you the details. Only difference is he has a 5.3 which means ours would be even louder.

I bought the badlandz 3.5" custom turndown tip as part of my order so it just came all together. Ya as soon as I am able to this week its getting cut off

I have a badlandz cutout. Sound is increased but I will say that whether you have the cutout open or closed, you'll still have some gasses coming out of the main tailpipes. I only know that you don't get full sound because I pulled my muffler off the other night when gutting my catalytic converter and it was much louder. I am looking into adding another valve somewhere after my cutout so I can open and close that go force the exhaust completely out of the cutout so nothing makes it to the muffler

Just an update on my gutted 3rd cat. I noticed a few days after gutting it, that I had a new rattle and that my cutout had 0 effect on the exhaust sound. I knew the cats couldn't have that kind of effect, so I crawled back under the truck and noticed that I didn't clamp the exhaust back properly so my exhaust was full sounding without a muffler or anything. Only have the cats on the headers and then released into the world, causing the extreme sounds
