Anyone install an electronic exhaust cutout on their 14-15??? Im thinking about doing it. I plan on getting a corsa cat-back at some point in the future but probably not for a while. However there are times where i just can't stand how quiet it it is stock. So i was thinking with a cutout after the 3rd cat (or maybe in place of it) i can keep the factory, drone free, ride on the highway but when some punk in a honda pulls up next to me at a light im a flip of a switch away from unleashing 8 screaming cylinders on him. thoughts?

I've debated doing this myself. Sometimes, I like to raise hell. Sometimes, I'm in the mood for some peace & quiet. It would be nice to have both at the touch of a button. Personally, I don't know of anyone who has actually done it though....

I am currently running the borla ProXS on my 2014 Silverado with the 5.3 that is dumped over the axle (removed resonator). I ordered an exhaust cutout and am going to install in place of the 3rd cat. As soon as I am done I will post a video, if I can figure out how to do that hahaha. I'm pretty excited myself!!! Get back with yall as soon as install is done!

Imo not worth it on a vehicle with cats. It might net 1 or 2 hp even on a car without them. Also out trucks aren't fast, so you might show up a ricer but what do you do when an actually fast vehicle does the same to you when you're inevitably driving around with open exhaust?

They are normally installed Pre-Cats....after the cats is probably just going to be for mainly sound. PT.net is probably the place that trying most of the performance upgrading ATM.

yea wouldn't be for performance it would be for like big whisky said, Raising hell when I wanted and having a quiet stock ride when i didn't.

Is it possible for a exhaust shop to wed in a cutout before the muffler but then weld a pipe to the cutout and route it around the muffler and connect it back to the tailpipe?

'Back in the day' the cut-out wouldn't be connected back in.

Which ones did you order and from where? I have been trying to order from DMH and cannot get through to them or the dam line is always busy.

I want mine for sound. WOnder what they would do by putting them before the cats? They are not very restrictive as it is when you have a 6.2. And what is PT.net?
