What do you guys know about the set up. How much front lift does it provide... looking to replace my 2in spacer and bilstein shocks? And hopefully get a little softer ride?

Let know your thoughts...

GMC did adding the 2in spacers make your truck ride and rougher. I'am thinking about adding 1.5in spacers to the front of mine and just stay with the stock ranchos

Thanks

Are you saying a 2" spacer PLUS Bilstein shocks have made your ride too rough when others say that a 2.5" level keeps the truck feeling like stock?

Yes, I got the Rancho quick lift installed today ( pre loaded struts and springs) Plus new rancho adjustable in the back... Night and day difference...

Is it about the same height with the ranchos as it was with the spacer? I'm really thinking of ditching my RC spacers and going this route.

So what didn't you like about the Bilsteins? Were they set at the stock setting with a spacer on the front? Or did you go max lift with the spring lift on the Bilstein? The reason I ask is when I did my installation, I did a 2" level kit in the front and left the Bilstein at the stock setting and was very pleased with the ride quality over the Rancho that came on my Z71.

It would be nice to know the comparisons between all three versions since you've been down that road (so to speak...) It's too bad you've had to invest so much money into a trial and error to get the ride you're looking for.

I had the 2in spacer on top of the spring... and the Bilsteins were set at "stock factory" height. I didn't need to extend the shocks because I already had a spacer. It basically sucked... in my opinion it was worse than the 2in spacer with the factory z71 Rancho shocks.

I learned the problem is having a spacer on the TOP of the springs.. doesn't matter what shock you use.. it will suck.

So they ripped it all out and installed the Rancho quick lift... new springs and sturts pre loaded ( no spacer disc) ..... all better now.

Yeah I was pretty sold on the RC 2.5 level but with all these complaints of clicking when turning the steering wheel plus there seems to lack consistency in peoples opinions of the ride quality, I am thinking no.

Did you have a spacer on top of the coilover with three bolt holes through them or a spacer at the top of the coil between the coil and the top plate??

I just ordered the rancho's from amazon.com. For anyone else interested, looks like Rancho is currently doing a promotion, where if you order 2 quicklift struts and 2 rs9000xl shocks, you can get a prepaid visa from them worth $126 bucks. here's a link

How much did you pay off amazon?

They unfortunately charged me tax on the order, so for all 4 it would of been $560, but I had a few amazon gift cards laying around so my out of pocket was $418. I dont think its only for amazon orders though. Looks like any rancho order qualifies, so if they are cheaper somewhere else, that would probably be your best bet.

With the $126 rebate going on now I'm very tempted to try these. I plan on ordering as soon as I'm done with my cross country move..
