I was surprised James May liked the Silverado and managed to break a driveshaft.

I was so glad he liked the Silverado! How could he not break something? That HD was hoping all over the place when he was going up after they put the chains on. Talk about Vibrerado lol

That Raptor was hooked up compared to the HD though...

it was hooked up all the way to when Clarkson destroyed the front tires with the chains. although i suspect most of it was due to Clarkson's Right foot being made out of Solid Lead.

How about next time they do a stock F-150 too, not a modified one and a plain old Silverado HD. American Top Gear does this same BS which is why I don't watch that trash.

you know Clarkson, he always wants an unfair Advantage, as well as something to annoy his co hosts with. just be glad the Silverado was Spared the Complete BASH FEST my Aveo Got back in 2009 (even though the episode in question aired 5 months before my actual Aveo was Built)!

Finally got home and had a chance to watch it (why the hell don't more hotels have BBC? I could give a crap about HBO...). So, here we go:

I was surprised James May liked the Silverado and managed to break a driveshaft.

Looooong wheelbase on rough terrain. He probably high-centered it. Or as someone suggested, axle-hopped it to destruction.

I laughed when Clarkson managed to DESTROY $600 worth of tires! (those BF Goodrich All Terrains are $300 A Piece!)

and wasn't there someone on here that had a problem with the center carrier bearing detaching from the crossmember?

Top Gear has a reputation for that. When James May tested the Land Rover Evoque I read somewhere he toasted like 8 wheels. Eight.

1. I only watch the real TG.

2. The trucks suited their driving style, no one on the show compared the two. Viewers might but brand fanboys aren't a reason to make things equal. I loved the episode.

The British version is all I watch too. I've only watched a few of the American version. but in the one's I've seen they give the GM Product to that moron Rutledge Wood, and he either screws up the test doing something stupid, or the other two guys sabotage the GM to set it up to fail while they make the Ford look like it's the best product known to man. That was enough for me. I can see them clowning around, but their version of it doesn't come close to the British version. Your right though, no one compared the two trucks which is great, and surprising. Very good episode either way.

Pretty sure Faust races or raced a Ford. Favoritism would be no surprise.

Faust is a Ford Racing driver

I too was surprised they really liked both trucks. They always make fun that us "Americans" have to have the huge vehicles and there is no point but they truly seemed to like them. I think they only criticism they had was that they would not do well in the UK just because the streets are so small. They did say that they don't know why more are not in the UK though because of how much they liked them.

with Clarkson's driving style being his Right Foot Virtually WELDED to the Floor, and James taking a slower more Methodical approach to driving. i'm just glad the Silverado wasn't subjected to the same Bash Fest my Aveo Got 6 years ago on Top Gear!

I did. It was funny. Those who took Top Gear seriously, I'm really sorry.

Same this was by far my favorite episode ever lol it was hilarious and all the while showing off some awesome trucks. Though vastly different trucks as well. I was hoping when i saw this trailer, they would be offering a similar version of a chevy. Yeah your going to get some anti-american sarcasm from clarkson but meh, i'm used to it. Despite his tone they do admit when US vehicle impresses them, and if you've seen their write up on the C7 z06 Vette you wouldn't think it was from top gear...http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/corvette-z06-c7-first-drive-2014-11-25

"Think it's fair to say it's going to crush anything less than a 918, P1 or LaFerrari. Its combination of relentless power, unshakeable chassis - with all its clever technology that works with you - and vast brakes is unbeatable at the moment. And that's just on the track. On the road, it's just as much fun. Dial back the chassis, flip off the roof panel - a first for all Z06s - and it'll cruise along in comfort. It's available with an eight-speed automatic or the seven-speed manual, now with uprated rev matching (this is being implemented across the whole Corvette range) that now makes it properly seamless."

Also who else died at the light bar scene? I was laughing my ass off. "Since he was annoying me, i decided to ignite my collapsed sun."

I always break into a fit of giggles when I hear James Scream "CLARKSOOOOOOOOOOON"

I've been watching TG (the real one) for a bunch of years now, and the key to enjoying it is to laugh and not take anything they say or do seriously. This season is starting out exceptionally well, so far. The hospital episode had me in tears I was laughing so hard. And this one:

I loved the episode.

Nearly had me pissing my pants. God the giggles just didn't stop.

"And then it was time to test my collapsed star..."
