Start new job on Monday

I have test drove 2 brand new Vette's and several Camaro SS with in being in the dealership for 15 minutes and giving the dealer nothing more than my DL. I am sure though when you pull up in a nice truck or the wifes Lincoln they prob guess we wont have a problem with the payment at all.

Actually one of the things they said was sometimes if they look like they have money and get paid a lot that those were the ones with bad credit and the ones that don't look like they could buy much end up paying for a brand new car in cash or has great credit. So you can't always go by what they wear and drive up in. And again, dealerships are privately owned so they may have different rules than others. Plus it was just something I read so I don't know how true it could be or if it was just the dealership they went to.

I could totally see that. I tend to really downplay things when I go into the dealership because sometimes I can bargain myself a better price that way.

Yeah, that's the reason plan on taking the Firebird to look at a Hellcat one day. They will KNOW I'm that kind of buyer. That said, I was once friends with a guy who is now a salesman at a dodge dealership, sent him a message when they got one in stock and he never replied. Oh I want to guy buy one SO BAD from another salesman on a day he is working. But, I'm gonna hold out for the long term plans for the 6th Camaro which could take a year or two before the special editions start trickling out.

I talked to a Bentley dealer in Newport Beach California who told me, "If a guy comes in in a suit, he's not a buyer. But if comes in in flip-flops and shorts, he's more than likely a cash buyer." I kind of laughed and he said that he wasn't joking. It's true.

If anybody sells it, it will be mostly luck I'm sure. Not many people (especially in my area) would pay that much for an SUV, they barely want to pay half that for one.
