A couple of heat cycles is fine just be sure it completely cools and change fluid at 1-200 miles or when ever you get home and hold off on the heavy towing for 5-600 miles. What size tires do you have using 4.10's?

305/45/22 = 32.8 right now, I am going to 33" on my new wheels/tire setup, and they will be very heavy. My truck has 3.08 in now and it's not terrible, but I know it can be alot better. Was thinking 3.73, but want more power. I dont do much highway driving with my chevy, I mostly use my F350 for towing/out-of-town trips.

I got a quote today to do my gears to a 4:10, $3,000 for front and rear, so this will be my next mod, just FYI

Can you get a break down of the parts they are using for the rear please. Reason I ask is you and I both have the 9.76" rear end not the 9.5" and I can not find a single shop in my area that has changed the gears on 6.2L or is willing to do so. I'm wanting to get 4.10's or possibly 4.56's.

I don't know the break down in parts, they said that all I'll have are my axles every thing else will be new, the company that did my lift kit and body lift will be doing the gears, they are B&C off road they are also known as 3rd Coat Suspension the number is 713-946-0600 if you want to call them and get the break down in parts ect

I'd bet they don't know you got 9.76 or they may be bumping you down to a 9.5 since they are changing carrier, if that's even possible. May be a non issue for you but I'd definitely get details.

It ought to be real PEPPY with the 4.10's!

I'd bet they don't know you got 9.76 or they may be bumping you down to a 9.5 since they are changing carrier, if that's even possible. May be a non issue for you but I'd definitely get details.

Thanks, I'm going to be calling them later today to see what they say. I'm hoping I can either get a list of the parts needed for the swap or at least be able to purchase the parts from them.

yeah I haven't done it yet, some stuff came up so its on hold for now

I don't have a total price I got a little jumbled up when I ordered the wrong parts at first. Also I bought an already geared front diff.

I gotchya. Well from what I've read, one can estimate to pay somewhere in the neighborhood of $2K. Does that sound like a fair estimate?

 

How are the 4.10's working out for you? What types of MPG's are you seeing?
