1 - tape off roughly. Doesnt have to be perfect since it peels right off.

2 - spray 4-5 coats with 10 mins dry time between coats.

3 -pull off tape and remaining plasti-dip around the emblem. It'll pull right off the paint like latex.

4 - done. Sit back and enjoy your new look.

It is really that easy.

How well does the shine hold up? To me dip kinda seems to fade after a few months, granted this is in Louisiana sun and its already matte so it's hard to tell. But curious how the gloss series auto dips hold up. Thinking of making my grille a gloss black and wouldn't mind trying this

I used dip glossifier for a shiney black it worked great to make a gloss look instead of matte.

if you use an armorall style protectant on the dip when cure it gives it a nice shine and uv protection as well as makes it smoother. Mine has held up many many months and retained look.

you do not even have to mask and cover that much area. that is way overkill just to dip the rear bowtie but hey i was paranoid my first time. 1 sheet of newspaper would be plenty any over spray rubs right off and wont stick to an area not preped and perfectly clean.

agreed!!!

when i did the "silverado" on my doors and tailgate i think i just used 2 strips of 2" wide painters tape. any over spray came off super quick with a tiny bit of goo gone and a microfiber towel
