Need confirmation on this someone??!!!!

Surprised as I was - I tried this on lunch. Sure enough - press UNLOCK, release, then press and hold UNLOCK and my mirrors unfolded. Continue holding and about 1/2 second later, all 4 windows started to roll down.

Did GM ever add the auto-up on any of the mirrors besides the drivers when using the actual door switches? That's something that needs to be added to all windows.

Passenger front works on my 2015, but neither rear.

If they did add express up to any others, they forgot to update the manual.

Express up. That's what I'm talking about. Where you just pull the switch for a second and it goes all the way up.

I'm pretty sure that's only on the drivers window. Express down on all others and one touch open and close for the sunroof.

My own 2015 LT1 will do it, just down though... up has to be done with the switches.

That's the same for all K2's. Like others have said, they consider rolling them all up to be a safety concern.

What's the concern? Many other vehicles have this feature. Anti-pinch isn't hard to implement.

For years and years this is one of the easiest mods the European car crowd (VW; Audi etc) has opted to add...but you have to have a Ross Tech/Hex-Can programming box go in and add the code. Has the mod crowd in American trucks figured out a way to do that?

My last car was a VW, I miss having VCDS (aka VAG-COM) so much... I wish there was something similar so badly. Easily the best money I ever spent on a single tool. I played with coding so much, plus the ability to monitor all systems... too bad Ross-Tech doesn't build something like it for other manufacturers as well.

funny that you mention the VW...I had an Audi and had the windows Vag-Commed by a guy in the community who liked helping people out with his device. Hard to believe someone hasn't figured out a similar device with these trucks. It amazes me that windows on the 2014s can't be upgraded in a flash.

I would bet you could also enable the mirror folding by FOB on the mid trim trucks as well as adjust the blinks on the lane change blinker and some other stuff....

I helped a few guys change various settings with my cable, still have it, but haven't used it for a while though, not active on those forums anymore.

Mid trim mirrors won't have the mechanism inside....

I thought the SLE Sierras have a button inside to power fold but no setting to enable folding by use of the FOB... People have claimed that is the case on the tips and tricks thread. I assume that the same is true on the Silverado

Having had these features on another car I used to own IMO having only the remote window-down feature is pretty much pointless. Remote Window-up is the MOST useful/desirable. Here's the scenario...you are in a hurry, pulling into a parking spot, don't want to take 20 seconds to close the windows and sunroof. You jump out of the car, press the button as you rush into your destination and all the windows/sunroof close saving you time.

Heck even my Volvo has auto-up on all 4 windows, the King of safety! If they can do it GM should too!!

Agreed, windows down I rarely used, but windows up and sunroof close I would use pretty often, summers are brutal hot here in houston, and we get some unexpected rain showers, windows and sunroof you can close without going to the car is pretty damn nice.

    • From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

    • True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
    • I'm sure if you went to a junkyard where you go in and pull the part off the truck yourself, not a used part place where they do it for you, you can get that part on it's own.  Depending on if and what else you would be buying, and time of day, they might even just skip over adding it as a item to the bill.
