2015 Remote Windows function

I just traded a 2014 to a 2015 Silverado. On the menu in the radio it has a windows remote feature, does anyone know how this works. Can't find it in the owners manual . Was not on the 2014

When you unlock the truck if you hold the unlock button down the truck will roll down both of the front windows all the way. When you lock the truck if you hold down the lock button it will roll up the windows.

I think that is the procedure.

yeah on the 2014's if you did the same thing and have the power folding mirrors it folds/unfolds the mirrors.

This is how it works on the 2015's as well. You can enable or disable this feature under the personalization options.

I thought I remembered seeing something about the windows but just took a quick look and I do not see that option. Maybe I am missing it.

I discovered this earlier in the month. All 4 windows go down with an unlock press, then unlock hold. Couldn't seem to get them back up with a reverse procedure though.

For years and years this is one of the easiest mods the European car crowd (VW; Audi etc) has opted to add...but you have to have a Ross Tech/Hex-Can programming box go in and add the code. Has the mod crowd in American trucks figured out a way to do that?

I wonder why the dealer wouldn't just update the 2014's to be able to have those options too?

I believe it LTZ or GMC's equivalent truck only.

Dealer cant, GM doesn't allow the dealer to modify or change how the BCM operates outside of how it was programmed from the factory. Chris White said he can program the BCM to do it, but it will require you to send your BCM into him to do it.

If equipped with auto mirror folding, pressing and holding 'unlock' for one second will unfold the mirrors.

The auto mirror folding feature will not operate unless it is enabled.

On some models, press, release and then press and hold 'unlock' to open all of the windows.

Pressing the button again will stop the windows.

I've also never been able to find instructions to make the windows go up with the remote.

How does this work? I tried to get my windows to go down and they would not.

i just had the BCM updated (headlight too dim) last week. I will look to see if the new flash has added this option. I doubt it...but I will still check.

Hold the unlock button to roll windows down. Hold the lock button to roll them back up. You have to have the feature turned on in your vehicle settings. You can also fold and unfold the mirrors using the key fob if equipped with power folding mirrors.

You should have already had the option if your truck is a Denali. My 2014 has it.
