Thanks!

Sadly, the 6.2 crosses my mind all the time. The bad news, I promised to keep this truck for a long time, so we're stuck together. I really don't have the need for the 6.2, I just like the idea of more power. Hopefully I can cure that in the next year or two with some sort of project or weekend car.

White letters out it will be, hopefully not too far down the road as well.

So... I actually made that promise as well. Maybe I should actually hold to it haha. I don't have much of a need for it either, so it sounds like we are in the same boat. It's hard to fight it off when you have a friend who gives you good deals on vehicles.

Hence the reason I'm torn on doing new upgrades to the engine. I guess I could start with a tune and go from there. I may fall in love with it after that and never want to get rid of it! lol

I will say, the truck is a lot more fun with the tune. I would start there and see if that makes you happy.

Headers, as cool as they are, didn't gain me as much whp as I would have thought, so I wouldn't go down that road again probably. They are cool, and look cool, but not the best bang for the buck modification on these trucks.

Yeah I am thinking that as soon as i tune it I will probably be happy with it from there. I already have an intake and custom exhaust on it and it runs great. I think i'm more comfortable with the 5.3 anyways.

Have you run some tanks of regular gas through your truck to see your mpg and power since the tune?

Actually, I'm on my 3rd tank with premium right now, since e85 took a little bit of a spike recently. So, figured I'd play around with premium for a few tanks. The first one was 14.8 (still had a couple gallons of e85 in the mix). Last tank was 16, mostly city short drive. This tank, about the same so far....mostly city. Haven't really had any highway miles recently, but I am guessing it'll be around the 18 mark.

Nice, I am thinking the tune may help my mpg a little, then also make it fun. So I guess we will see when I get it. Then I'll be saving up for some methods and new tires when these bfg's wear out.

Nice truck, nice mods. What spacers did you have with the stock GMC 20's?

Thank you.

It was Bora 1.5" spacers.

Did you get the rest of the STT's yet?

Nope, not yet.
