roof material weaker?

My roof dented very easily when loading one of my kayaks on my bed rack. The front of the kayak hit the top of the roof and when I washed my truck a few days later I noticed it. Ive loaded my kayaks the same way on every other truck ive owned and could literally crawl on my roof and not worry. Hell, a few days later my neighbors kid was standing and jumping on his dodge rams roof and nothing happened. I guess if I ever get in a hail storm (which are common here) this truck will be totaled, with this cheap metal and glass all over it.

isn't chuck like a well known tuner? any reason to doubt his claim? doesn't look like hail to me.

He is down in Houston. Just odd to see a new truck do that. I mean, I figure we have a pretty good collection of 2014-2015 GM owners here and that video he posted is the first I've heard of an incident like this.

My only experience was putting a dent on the rear tailgate right where there is a crease. I was pushing off of it to get my trailer to drop on the ball, something I've done with all my trucks. And I guess my work outs paid off ;) because crease dented in and popped right out, but did leave a small dent right in the middle.

Same EXACT thing happened to me. Doh!
