Spare stolen... AGAIN

Recommended Posts

So, I have had my spare stolen. Again.... Fool me once shame on me, twice yada yada

The kicker is, the SOB cut the hoist off. Again.

So, I need a spare of course, so what are you guys using to keep yours high and tight? Can't keep it in bed as I use most of the space and have a cover. Tire is covered my insurance, but it still costs 250 for the deductible

Thoughts and/or suggestions?

Thank you in advance

Actually it's fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. But anyways lol

I saw where there's companies that make a spare tire lock. Maybe you can do a search and see what you can find one you like. They do make ones that are for a hoist type under the vehicle.

I wouldn't even want to get my spare tire out if I had a flat. Are they that easy to get out? I would sell mine for 250 haha

A spare tire lock doesn't matter when they are cutting the hoist. My truck came with a spare tire lock. Did yours not come with one? I would start there if not you can get one from BOLT that is keyed the same as your truck or of course your dealer but this wouldn't matter if they cut the hoist. I hate thieves and feel for ya.

After seeing how easy it is to steal the spare tire, I decided to get this spare tire lock. I think it is pretty good and better than nothing. I park my truck in the woods a lot. I want the thieves to work for it or go to someone else that may not have this on their vehicle. Before someone says nothing is going to work, are there any people out there that got their spare tire stolen with this device? Since this is the second time, you have to do something about it. You are an easy mark. Might be the same people? Good luck!

I have a plastic coated bicycle chain that goes around the frame and then through a lug hole in the rim. Been doing that for many years on all my trucks, and never had one stolen. I suspect because most thieves don't come with big enough bolt cutters for that.

Smith & Wesson makes a real good anti theft device. :M16:

So does this......

Get one of these and let him sleep in the truck.
