4x2 to 4x4 Conversion on Velocity NOW

Which make and model truck are they doing? What kind of front suspension does the truck have?

 

Your best bet is to buy a 4x4 and don't play games with a 2wd truck. There is far too much involved in attempting a conversion on these modern trucks. Very expensive also, except for those guys on the tv show, they pay for nothing.

I saw the Jeep episode too. I remember when the JK Wrangler was available in 2wd, which was only for the Unlimited model between 2007-2008 if I recall. What a travesty. I like how they added a variable ratio transfer case in the conversion. Smart thinking.

The conversion I think would be interesting is a van conversion. I actually thought about buying an All WD and converting it to selectable 4wd with a new Xfer case and front diff.

The Jeep is too easy assuming it's a 2wd Wrangler. It still has a tube axle up front. Hardly any new parts.
