Don't listen to him. He's pissed because his truck is a lemon (rightfully so) so he's convinced every truck GM has ever built is crap.

I have 36,725 miles on my '14 Silverado. No shakes/vibration.....EVER!.... Rides and Drives like a dream. In fact, the only time it was at the dealer, was for oil changes (I took care of the recalls during those oil changes).

I test drove a few '14 and older Fords before I got my GMC and they just didn't do it for me. I get compliments from almost everyone about my Sierra on how quiet it is on the road. I've thought about putting an exhaust on the thing but, I'd miss the quiet ride too much.
