Electric exhaust cutouts

14 sierra 6.2...anyone running electric cutouts or have any experiences with them? I already have exhaust but sometimes when a civic with a fart can hanging off it pulls up next to me I just want to be an obnoxious d*ck and rattle his windows...any thoughts?

I asked a while back (not specifically for the 6.2) and no one has done them. I was thinking about doing one in place of the 3rd cat. Kill two birds with one stone. But i won't be making that leap until the warranty is up

I called my dealer today and they told me that it'll only void the warranty on the exhaust which is already gone...

I believe Mike1220 has something like that. A shutter opens just before the catalyst

I have had done dual electric cut outs on my old 2004 Ram Hemi. Obnoxiously loud . . . .and AWESOME

 

They aren't cheap, good ones run you $200ish

 

Cable operated ones work well too. They can be more reliable as long as the cable is greased

 

Carbon build up can cause the electric valves to stick and need cleaned every so often

Ran an electric cut out on my Firehawk. QTP makes some of the best IMO and should run you around $175 each.

A buddy has a 65 Chevy C10 and while we were in high school he fired it up with just headers. It was a 350 and it sounded awesome and made your insides vibrate. I don't think it was a stock 350 lol. Not many sound good straight piped so I agree with you on that. Glasspacks are just as bad if not worse.
