Have been on the forums for a couple months now and glad I was able to learn so much about these trucks, so first off THANK YOU. To each is own on what you prefer but for me the subtle changes like some color matching, debadging, etc. really set off a truck and separates you from the rest. I posted a couple pictures of my old 2003 in the bottom of this, looking forward to working on this new blank canvas lol

I ordered this truck from the factory July 1 and took delivery August 25. Got about 9k off the sticker including the 1500 private offer. What made this deal even sweeter was the warranty from the dealer: lifetime powertrain, with scheduled maintenance performed (documented). Options I got were All-Star package, Deep Ocean Blue paint, Z71 package, Bose, Integrated Trailer Brake Controller, Black interior, Bed rail lights, 5.3L, 3.42 gears, others should be obvious maybe in pictures. I'm really not a fan on the sliding back glass so didn't want to go with that package that also has the adjustable pedals and garage door buttons.

Mods:

-XPEL Ultimate clear bra protective film

-2nd set of factory bed rail lights

-JDM ASTAR 800 LEDs in cargo lights

-Husky floor mats (F- X-act, R- Weatherbeater extended under seats)

Near Future Mods:

-Linex

-Front tint

-Leveling kit

-1.25" body lift

-Rims/tires

The day I brought it home.

XPEL Ultimate clear bra film. Line is right under my thumbnail

Can see a slight line across the hood

2nd set of bed lights added up front, to factory installed ones

Bed lights w/ JDM ASTAR 800 cargo lights (NASCAR Richmond Race bound) *Bed lights are more white than they appear and I'd say they do match pretty close*

Only complaint about the Husky's but I think I am going to trim the piece hanging over Z71

Had it out on the beach in Outer Banks, North Carolina. Out with a couple of my buddy's Sierra's

Quick history, here is my old 2003 Z71. I did all the work myself (+ some buddies and beer every now and then) from bone stock in June 2008 to August 2015 with 186,xxx miles.

Here's a really old one of my 1987 Pathfinder taken back in 2007 probably

Welcome. Nice 2015 and 2003. The 1987 pathfinder looks good and gave me a flashback to the 80's!

Good looking truck, look forward to see what the future holds. You got lifetime powertrain warranty, how did you swing that? Never heard of such a thing.

By the way you should have posted this here http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/forum/171-vehicle-builds/

I was looking for the intro or build thread but didn't look around enough. Is admin able to move this over there or remove this and I'll repost in that^.

The dealership I bought from, First Team Auto, has that warranty for all their new vehicles and used under 50k miles. I think they figured out that it benefits them because people rely so heavily on carfax/documentation now and people who buy new vehicles keep them for a couple years then trade them back in. Dealership can sell those couple years old cars a lot easier, sell another new car to that person and then also never have to get hit for their lifetime powertrain charge from someone. But then there are the gearheads, like most of us here, who run it til the wheels fall off and then they have to deal with it IF something even happens. So I bet they still come out on top though, not to mention no other dealerships around here, or maybe anywhere, have any kind of warranty even close to that.

Justy start a build thread in the appropriate place and follow the rules for build threads. :)
