Question
Jbreaux
I purchased rear shocks and a compressor rebuild kit on 8/3/15. The product went on smoothly and rebuilding the compressor was fairly easy (and I'm a WOMAN). Anyway, now I have my ABS and TRACTION CONTROL warning lights on on the dash. I checked the connections of the wire that hooks into the shock itself and all looks good. Could their be a connection issue in the wire itself-like a short somewhere (because they air up when the compressor kicks on)? Is this issue with the warning lights even related to the replacing of the shocks?
I did have an issue with my AC blowing hot air once I reconnected the battery. But after googling questions about it, I got it working again! Figured it was from the battery being disconnected for a long period of time. (Hey it took a while, but I got it!)
The next week I had an issue with my cruise control. I bought (from a parts house) and replaced the brake light switch behind the brake pedal. It worked for about 5 days then someone called from behind me on the way to work one morning and said my brake lights were on all the time. So I spoke to the dealer and they said to replace the brake light switch again. So I did, and it the cleared the problem. Good thing it was only a $20 part! Could this have been related too?
