2016 High Country

Making my rounds today and checkin out the dealer lot and I finally seen a 2016 truck and it happened to be a high county. I was all for it but the headlight threw me off. That's ALOT of Chrome on the side of a headlight and the middle of the grill sticks way out. The taillights are cool I liked how the reverse lense had ribs in it and inverted in a little

I like it, other than the wheels. Have not been a fan of that design.

 

The '16's in photos do not seem to show any depth in the headlights(for overall photos).

In person that is not the case & think that changes perception a bit.

Understand the chrome complaint, but like black/chrome trim trucks here.

Curious what it would look like with the chrome around the headlights wrapped or painted?

Just leave the HC grill & lower bumper trim piece chrome.

Got to check out one of these while working the Texas Motor Speedway. The hood is much more subtle in person and not beefy like the 14/15. In certain light it almost looks like it's damaged. The front I dislike until the LED running lights are turned on, those are sexy as Hell IMO and love the rear LED's.

 

As a side note, the whole Toyota team was a million times more friendly and outgoing than the GM team. Talking all 30ish people at each camp. If I didn't already have a truck and was shopping, they would have sold me on a Tundra.

Nope....don't like it, I think Chevy missed the mark on this one, the current high country looks much better. IMO it's too radical of a change from the 14-15's.

I like the 14/15 HC better also.
