The Newest New Guy! (Until the next one comes along!)

I'll try to make the most of my short bit of fame here as the newest member, but I'm pretty sure it won't be too long before someone else comes along on knocks me off of my perch, unless somehow NO ONE ever signs up here ever again, which I highly doubt! Looks like a great site, I've had so much great luck with all sorts of web forums and just bought my brother's 2000 Tahoe LT, which he bought new back when that generation had just come out. Now its got just over 250k miles, engine (5.3) still very strong, recently had a new (rebuilt) tranny installed and I'm not looking to create any sort of "mod mobile", not saying there's anything wrong with that, but I'd just be happy to fix a few things on it, I knew the AC wasn't workng on it , which I see it looks like a lot of people have issues with, but now I see its a bit more than that, (it has the "computer climate control" with the non-digital auto climate control, front and rear, but for the temp, it seems to be either alll the way hot or no heat at all) ABS light is always on, check engine light always on and I've got a little chepo code reader andI'll have to post those codes if some searching doesn't give me my answers.

Lastly, I PROMISE to always use the search button as much as I can before posting some question that 847 people have already asked, BUT I'll also NEVER be one of those people that gets all snippy with else who does! Thanks!
