I am still learning how to use this on my 2016. I think it was on tonight when I was driving but it didn't want to dim the high for an approaching car. Later it shut off and I was unable to reactivate it.

I found this post that describes the feature and process for using it on a Cadillac.

Off to the manual I go. Anyone have real world experience with Intellibeam?

Still learning about mine.

If it is active, there will be a green indicator (light pic, with small A) on the dash. The blue high beam indicator will still work when on high beams.

If intellibeam is turned on, and the low beams are on, and you turn on the fogs -- then intellibeam will not turn on high beams. If you later turn off the fogs, intellibeam will return to normal function. If intellibeam has high beams activated, fogs will not turn on when you push the button.

If it is deactivated, the high/low changer must be activated twice in 2 seconds to turn it back on.

If you go below 20kph (12mph) to turns the low beams on. It won't switch to high unless above 40kph (25mph).

If you think it should turn to lows and it does not it can easily be overridden with the high/low lever.

Ya was thinking the samething. Just seems to have made things more complicated.

Mine works perfectly on my truck and it has a 2" lift. It switches to low beam at the right time when it senses oncoming traffic. It's disabled when you use the foglight. That's the only frustrating part. Mine came bundled with it as part of the Safety features that includes the new Lane Keep that will actually steer the truck back into the lane if it goes over the lines.

Rabbitman is right. Intellibeam will not work when foglights are activated. GM does not want high beam headlights coming on when it is foggy outside, i.e. when fog lights are activated. I would like to add that the new OE headlights in the 2016 are bright as hell, even on low beam. They make the headlights on a 2015 look like a worn out Maglight flashlight with half dead batteries.

Has anyone posted output shots of the 2016 led headlights yet? If not please post some. Mine doesn't come in until February, and it's killing me. Thanks!

I don't have a picture but they are at least as bright as my GMT900 Sierra. A very clean light. Only thing I am adjusting to is the slightly visible dark line in the middle when on high beam.

These aren't the best as far as output goes, but it at least gives you an idea of the styling and LED lines. Believe me when I say that you'll be blown away by these things.

So I figured out to use Intellibeam:

Leave the lights in Auto and do nothing. Keep the foglights off and don't touch the stalk (leave on low position). Tonight when driving home my lights were going bright and dim on their own. Was neat to watch it work.

The new 2016 LED Sierra lights are the best of any GM truck ever... and I have owned all GM truck models since starting with the 84 C10

I am screwed as I love the look of the fogs on, guess I will have to use the high beams on my own.

When is someone coming out with the fog light mod so we can run fogs with highbeams?
