Since it a factory part, its probably $100 - $200 more than an Airaid or K&N full CAI intake system, while offering no better performance.

MSRP is $550.00 and engine crate depot has it listed at $467.50.

I like the air intake and all the other parts..

It would keep your factory warranty, It's great they are offering all this.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you do keep your factory warranty with K&N, CAI, etc.

Correct, GM would have to prove that the cold air intake caused the issue.

Technically yes, But you may run into problems with certain service departments telling you "We can't warranty this do to this part".

They want the customer to pay, they make more money that way over warranty. The jerk services departments will always try and find a way to make the customer pay.

But if it's a Chevy backed part, they can't deny anything.

I had a Ford Ranger years ago and at 7,000 miles it threw the #1 rod through the block. Completely bone stock everything. Towed to the ford dealer and they tried to deny me warranty on the engine on a brand new truck. They told me "We know you were drag racing the truck and that voids the warranty". I got soooo pissed my face turned red and I started yelling at them in the service department. Three days later I had a new engine being put in under warranty. JERKS!!!

So......... you buy the much cheaper alternative available aftermarket and if you need warranty you swap it back to stock beforehand. Now I know there is the odd chance you won't be around home but so be it..... especially something that does nothing for the trucks actual performance. I think the Airaid MIT is about the best CAI you can buy.... and most monkey service departments wouldn't even notice it's not a GM part lol. Drag racing a Ford Ranger.... now that's hilarious.
