quick warranty question

Hey guys got an oil change today and they informed me the gas tank skid plate is cracked and hanging down they say they can't warranty due to truck not being stock height and the front valance is off(I took it off) truck has never been offroad and they said it looks like ice packed under it and broke it should I go somewhere else or just order one, they have one but I wouldn't buy from them anyway and double price from what I see online

I would think there is less chance of anything cracking the higher the truck it. That being said, all dealers are different. Some will see the lift, etc.. and not do anything. Try another dealer..

Take the truck elsewhere. Just because you are leveled doesnt mean jack.

Your leveled suspension did not crack the skid plate. With that said even if your truck was 100% bone stock original i am not sure if a damaged skid plate should be covered, unless it is a manufacturer defect.

It should be easy to tell if you cracked it or not. There should be an impact mark on the skid plate if you actually hit anything hard enough to crack it.

Yea that's what I was wondering if it was even a warranty issue because they told me it looks like it cracked by the mounting bolt then probably caught the snow and ripped it more didn't see any impact marks on it, then i asked about warranty that's when they said no because u have a level and bigger tires you probably take it offroad and ur valance is missing u probably ripped that off too but it's never been offroad lol it ok I'll just order one anyways
