From the previous promotion it was off MSRP

Now during the Chevy Black Friday Year End Event we are offering an incredible 20% Off MSRP on select in-stock vehicles. This is, by far, the best offer of the year. You have to take advantage soon because the offers end Friday. Ends 11-30-15.

Luck, right place right time, some say u can some say u can't year ago I got my supplier, and rebates, some say its one or the other

The 20% is made up of supplier pricing plus a rebate from GMC.

The promotion details state that they can sell it at supplier or less, so essentially, the dealer can sell for more than 20%.

The rebate from GM is the same regardless of the selling price.

The deal was not combinable with employee pricing.

You can usually get 20% off sticker even when there is not a "20% sale". You should easily be able to get 25% off MSRP, if not go to another dealer.

Thanks, that's the explanation I was looking for!

I agree. I scored 27% off when I bought my F150.

Make sure you inform them of many things. Any specific licenses? Tell them. I got $750 off due to being an employee of FedEx. My dad got $750 + $1000 for being a UPS driver and having an HVAC & oil burner licenses.

I got 20% off plus they took another $1200 off the dealer hold back, plus they threw in the mudflaps ($100), the under seat storage bin ($200), and a 32" Samsung LED TV ($200).

So all in all it was 23% off.

Plus NO dealer fee of $699 that the other dealer had was trying to charge. And they beat my USAA approved rate by 1%.

I was happy.

I never tell them anything with regards to who I am or that I work for "X" or whatever..... they don't care lol. Lowball them like they lowball you and go from there. I average 30% on my new vehicles and someone always bites..... hell the last F150 I got at 39% off MSRP but it sat on the lot for a long time lol.

At minimum there should be invoice price ( which is usually 5 or 6000 under MSRP) and then whatever in incentives beyond that.

I don't think expecting 20% off MSRP is unrealistic. We see posts here all the time of people getting $10K on a $50K sticker. 25% seems to be the real challenge.

Employee pricing is the lowest mark.

Supplier pricing is in the middle.

Invoice is higher than supplier.

I had am employee pricing certificate, and saw about 15 different invoices.

But, none of this matters if the truck has been sitting on the lot for months and they want it gone.
