Has anyone removed this from their trucks? Does it harm the gas milage by not diverting air down or how ever they say it's for. Post pictures what it looks like too please.

No one has ever removed that before, be the first and let us know!

You will lose a little on the highway, how much is up to debate. 1/2 mpg at 70 would seem about average. Also depends on lift, tires, ect.

Search the picture threads, tons of pics of those who have taken them off. Pretty much every other truck has removed theirs, this is probably one of the most active topics since the day these trucks hit the lots, just search.

Seriously OP just take it off, we all hate the damn thing, it will just get ripped off if you don't take it off, snow mounds and parking curbs hate those things.

Mine came with a custom front bumper so the dam wasn't on it from the dealership.

Voids your warranty.

I am sure you are joking so lol

Seriously for those that don't know, it DOES NOT void you warranty and there is a section in the owners manual where it says to remove it if off roading.

300 miles on the truck and it was the first thing I damaged while off roading to my fishing hole... Lol it will be gone as soon as I get the will power to remove it.

Took mine off before I leveled it dude to it scrapping on a ledge where I park. Didn't notice a decrease in anything when it was stock

I removed mine and it does look better with it off it still looks like something is missing so I will eventually end up trimming mine and putting it back on when I get it leveled. It will hurt your gas mileage if you drive on the interstate a lot, that is why it is on there. The owners manual also says you can remove it for off roading but to put it back on for normal driving because it effects engine cooling which I think is BS but it is in there so you are taking a slim chance if your engine overheats and GM denies to fix it under warranty due to the air dam being taken off. I keep a spreadsheet of all my fill ups and I have 1 year with the air dam off (every thing else stock) and by next November I will have 1 year of data without it on to compare. I am rarely on the interstate so I am assuming it won't effect me that much but if you do a lot of interstate driving you will probably lose about 1 mpg.

Violation of EPA regulations. Obama will cry on national TV about it.
