Aftermarket headlight assemblies. Which one is the best??

Hey guys- I'm at my wits end with Chevy/GM about this headlight issue. The headlights that I have are the stacked OEM with separate bulbs for low, high and fogs and we obviously know that the stock halogen is garbage so the only answer is an HID swap. My issue is that they dealer replaced an assembly for me on my passenger side and the new one is actually worse than the one I had before. I'm at the point where I'm about to bite the bullet and buy totally new assemblies for it bc I can't take looking at my lights all fogged up in weather that has no humidity in the air. My question is what is the best assembly out there that will have either HID or LED lighting and will not fog up with one drop of water in the air and also that won't make the truck look like a gawdy drug dealers truck. Can you guys advise me on this?

I'd keep the OEM lights and take this opportunity to have a retrofit done. The aftermarket headlights have their issues too. None I've read about are what I'd do.

Phil at fastheadlights.com has a few different hid projectors to choose from. The headlights get re-sealed in the process anyway. He can keep the OEM look if that's your preference.

My issue is that they fog up and I want to eliminate that and at the same time fix my light output issue. No new truck should have foggy lights and by doing a retro fit I don't see it fixing the issue

I havent had any fog issues with my eagle eye ltz replicas... that said A good retrofitter should warranty his work against fog ups

Does that retro fit eliminate the assembly itself fogging up? How does that work since the assembly is faulty from the factory? Sorry if this was covered somewhere I just wasn't able to find it

Sorry for your troubles, that is frustrating. My experience is with Anzo headlights, they have been very good so far. I don't have moisture problems with mine. Added led headlight bulbs from HID Extra for high and low beam. Not sure the styling is what your are looking for though. Good luck!

Wow sorry to hear about the issues with your headlights. Where do you live? Seems there must be humidity in the air?

I've never had fogging issues here in so cal, and I feel the light output on the stock projectors is just fine.

FYI I have not seen any after markets that don't add bling, and if you buy aftermarket that are supposed to look stock the quality won't be as good IMO.

I agree that this is a good opportunity to have a retrofit done. I had my '15 GMC lights opened up and FXR HID projectors fitted. The retrofitter sealed everything up nicely and offered a 5 year warranty against issues such as fogging. I've only had the conversion for a few weeks, but so far everything has worked well and the light output is way better than stock.
