Black/Dune?

Pictures do not do Cocoa/Dune interior justice. Look at one in person. Better yet, drive one. You will vomit in your mouth. Passed up some really good deals that had the morbid Cocoa/Dune interior.

To each their own, there are tens of thousands of other owners that say you are wrong...

Yo O.J. that's my truck you are putting down my friend. I have a black Denali with the Coco/Dune interior and it looks sweet. Now the brown leather in the High Country that was a deal breaker for me hence the GMC.

It's funny that some talk about dark exterior/light interior as if the colors don't go together when in the '90s and early 2000's you couldn't even get a black interior on a Silverado if I'm not mistaken? There was red/maroon at one point, gray/graphite, tan, oak, etc. but black wasn't even available and we still had dark exterior trucks.

I have no issue with a light interior, in fact, my previous Tahoe had a light grey interior and was black. This one is Black/Black, and I would go with either of those on a truck. It's the dash that kills it for me on the Dune interior.

If the dash were the light tan I think I would like it with black. The multiple brown colors and dark brown dash against the black just doesn't work for me personally.

Exactly. Just too much going on in my opinion.

Luckily, I'm in a position that I don't need anything new at this time. When the right truck comes along I'll be ready. Until then, my Tahoe is just fine...

Wow?

I just got my 15 SLT Z71 4x4 iridium grey metallic with cocoa/ Dune.

I love it!!! I passed on the black and/or grey. I get so many compliments on the interior.

I guess different stroke for different folks.

Maybe I'm weird. I'm also not afraid of chubby chicks too. Not a big fan of skinny chicks. Again different strokes. No pun intended.

I essentially paid an extra $5,000 for the cocoa/dune interior. I passed on a great deal for a 2015 black interior and instead ordered a '16 with the cocoa/dune. That was the price of foregoing incentives and end-of-model year deals on the '15. But it was an absolute deal-breaker for me. I had to have the cocoa/dune. The interior color was more important to me than the exterior.

To me, the lighter interior gives the cabin an even more spacious feel. The black seems more claustrophobic to me. I haven't had the truck long enough to test the summer sun, but I suspect the black gets hotter too. My wife's Acadia is a great car, but the black interior kills it for me. She agrees, though she's a little more tolerant than I am.

I don't know, I absolutely love my cocoa/dune interior.

This post is why I love forums like this. Lots of good opinions for both sides of the fence. Personally, I think it's a handsome interior, just not with a black exterior. If I were getting a white truck, I'd probably go dune without a second thought (even though I'm still not in love with the dash).

Quite honestly, the more I look at all of the options, I think I even prefer Dune to the A/T interior. That carbon fiber just doesn't do it for me.

If you are worried a black interior is hotter than a lighter interior, the trucks paint color will determine the temps inside the truck more than interior color.
