Kids + Back of Seats = UGHHHH

So the back of my seats are getting scuffed up due to my daughter and sometimes my nephew. I have the seats with the vents on the back...so they are a hard textured material (maybe a plastic of some sort). Anyways, how do you all clean those scuffs off of the seat backs?

Train them to keep their feet off them......or get some sticky-back stuff that you put on carpet as a runner.

I feel the pain. Must be a subliminal thing that tells the kids to kick it when they sit in the truck. Haven't gotten scuffs, but plenty of mud and dirt thankfully a wet rag wipes away. I took away video games for a couple days and they have been angels in the truck since

My kids did that to my seats....once. After I swatted them, they figured out it was a better idea to just keep their feet off the seats.

Fix the kid not the seat. Teach them to respect things and life will be a lot simpler down the road.

Get seat back protectors. They are cheap (I got mine for about $20 for 2 on Amazon) and work well.

It isn't always an issue of "fixing the kids". My 5 year old doesn't "kick" the seat but sometimes his shoes will rub the back of the seat when he is getting into his car seat.

Putting the seat back protector on helps protect against other scuffing as well (like getting bags out of the back seat area and such).

It isn't always an issue of "fixing the kids". My 5 year old doesn't "kick" the seat but sometimes his shoes will rub the back of the seat when he is getting into his car seat.

Yea that's the issue with my daughter and sometimes my nephew (guess i should have been a bit clearer).....they aren't being brats and kicking the seats repeatedly. It's getting in and out of the truck their shoes sometimes make contact with the seat as they are getting out of their car seats. They are 2 and 3 years old.

Do the protectors work well with the heated and cooled seat vents that are on the back of the seat? I wanted something to protect the plastic seat back from luggage and looked at these, but was concerned that they would block the vents. Yes, I could put my carry on bags in the bed, but where I park, it is better for me to back in. Thus I use the back seat are for my roll aboard and back pack when traveling.

Ha, I guess a lot of us have some crazy kids! My 3 year old it just to be an ass, and she's teaching the 1 year old the same trick.......bad road to go down. My biggest gripe is my 11 year old hasn't figured out that her "stuff" can go in the back seat or the bed of the truck. She piles it all where her feet are supposed to go and she ends up "resting" her feet on the speaker grille and map pocket on the door. That grille is hard to get mud out of, I'll tell you that!

But try some baby wipes. Have you tried the "Magic Eraser"? I'm interested to see what others have done as well.

My best advice is.. have them clean the inside of your truck.... I promise they won't ever put there feet against the seat backs ever again. Well that solution worked for me

I've had the protectors on my seats for the past 6+ months and have no issues with them blocking the vents. The seat cooling works just fine.
