Hold out for a 2016 or pull the trigger on a 2015?

After realizing that I just wouldn't be happy with the All Terrain carbon fiber interior, I've set my sights on a Denali. Must haves for me are the 6.2, a sunroof, and nav. Anything beyond that is just a bonus.

Now the question is, should I take advantage of deep discounts on the remaining 15's, or wait until discounts start on 16s? There is a local dealer with a 15 that checks all my boxes that I could land for under $50K (employee discount), but now, of course, I am questioning if I should hold out for the new headlights, slight refresh etc.

Current ride is a leveled 2012 Tahoe.

Thoughts?

There's deals to be had on the 16's now. I got 20% (11k) off my 2016.

Another local dealer has a 2016 that stickers at just a tick under $60K on their lot now. If I could get them to hit that 20% mark, they'd sell a car today! Unfortunately, we're still about 5k apart.

Yep, I got a great deal on my 2016 in December... couldn't believe it. Either way... get the 2016... it's a nice upgrade from the 2014-2015 ( I had a 2014 before)

They get 20% off each model, just a matter of what time of year

I'd base 2015 vs 2016 on which do you like the looks of

The LED headlights on my 2016 are incredibly good.

So true! ... and locking tailgate, wireless charging, 10x better Intelli link system..

No locking tailgate on the 2015s? That may have made the decision for me. Seriously.

Now I wait....

That's what I was referring to as well. Funny how something so small can make such a big difference.

auto roll down windows with the key fob as well... not sure this was on the 2015's... defiantly not 2014.

Auto mirrors fold/unfold with keyfob too

My 2015 does this.

To the OP, the only factor that I would decide on is the warranty. The 2016 warranty was reduced by 40,000 miles if I am not mistaken. This is the main reason I am happy with my 2015. They are basically the same truck with just a few software upgrades and a diff style front end.

I will say I wish mine had the 2016 headlights though. I had a 2016 for a loaner for 3-4 days last week and the headlights are night and day better.

I was thinking the same thing but I held out for the 2016. It is definitely a nice upgrade from the 15. The LED lights alone would of changed my mind they are awesome. The apple car play is very nice as well.
