If the next generation isn't due until 2020, I guess the rumors about GM going to aluminum like Ford right away are not true.

 

FWIW, I was told GM was considering going to aluminum on the K2XX's, but due to their financial situation at the time decided not to.

Aluminum body panals are coming, Alcoa was given the contract, only a matter of time before we start seeing them.
