New member in Nebraska

Well I figured I would get the introduction out of the way and clear the awkwardness...

Nebraska native here, names Zach.

I bought a 2016 Silverado LT Z71 Crew cab short box with the 5.3. I bought it at the end of January as a 26 birthday gift to myself. (Even though it took me a year to save up for it!! And it's also my first ever anew vehicle!!). I traded in a 2008 Nissan Frontier with the 4.0L V6 that I absolutely loved. That truck would go anywhere and I never once got it stuck. I was more impressed with the power of the 4.0 because I could keep up (bumper to bumper) with my buddies 2011 Silverado with the 5.3. We both had a CAI, exhaust, and leveling kit but he also has a hyper tech programmer. We were both pleasantly surprised at how quick the little frontier was.

Anyways, my Silverado now has 500 miles on. I've been browsing this forum just about every evening since I bought my truck looking for good information. First thing I did to the truck was tint the front windows with 15% at a local hot rod shop. I can't stand not having tinted windows. And of course I already ordered a catch can and clean side spearator from Elite Engineering that should be waiting for me when I get home.

I have a list of things I plan on doing when the budget will allow. But I look forward to learning a lot from everyone here.
