Serious problem with 2014 silverado 4x4..need advice/thoughts

What is the dealerships est on the warranty cost of the repair?

 

i believe around 8 grand? gotta ask again when i call in the AM

It's not GM holding this up, it's the dealership. We've rebuilt/replaced engines, head gaskets on Duramax's....without blinking an eye. Never has a dollar amount been a concern. Someone at that dealership is afraid and/or doesn't know how to go about things.

in a drive way all snow no crazy signs of me me being stupid and tow truck driver agrees… this is a fluke thing…i have to ride it out and believe they will handle it. now that the dust has settled and i can think straight i will be listen to eveyword when i call..when he says on the 1st phone call from me rite after they looked at it, worst he ever saw and not sure if its covered,trust me thats a mind bender at that moment. let ya know tomorrow what is said if anything..thx for all ur thoughts…bill

ya that is what he said out of the gate..i will be cool until i need to raise hell. and believe me once i go into that mode,its game on.. for now i remain calm cool and collect. and thx for ur advice.bill..

Why don't you call GM corporate and explain what happened that way someone up above the dealership is following up on your case?

^{1st let me say thx for all the support.got a call and was asked some questions..then dealer called me said all set its covered..i asked what is the damage if I would of had to pay he said 7 or 8 grand..i asked what was the reason it happened,he said no one knows..so that's the end of the story..ill get truck back in a week or so..what a loss of a weekend..just looked out the window thinking about it..thx again...bill}

no but that crossed my mind after the fact..it all worked..calm cool collect always wins..they don't like a mad man going nuts..i just steped back and waited..have a great day.

one last question…I'm not a repair guy as for cars/trucks..is it possible that no one can know including a gm rep at a long standing dealer why it happened or what part may have broke that start'ed the chain reaction?its all good i just find it a bit odd that pros can't figure it out..maybe I'm wrong and thats normai. .thx
