Tuned 5.3 on E85

I wonder how much power this is making? I had BBP tune my truck for 91-93 octane and he said it would help on E85 as well.

Isn't the stock tune good for 380 on E85? I bet it's close to 400 with the tuning.

Anyway, I filled up on E85 for the first time since tuning, and the truck is running strong. Curious what the ballpark horsepower number is.

More HP but worse MPGs.

Who cares about MPG?? LOL

is all about smiles per gallon!!!

MPG might be less but dollar per gallon, at least around here it is still cheaper to run E85. It is $1.40 a gallon where 93 is $2.43.

My 02 isn't a fexfuel vehicle and BB tuned for 93. When I run E85 it seems to run stronger. Plus I like the exhaust smell. :) Might convert it some day. Just need to get the sensor and larger injectors.

I have yet to find a dealer that will honor a warranty on a vehicle that has been tuned.

5.3, BBP tuning, E85. Just thought I would highlight the subject.

Anyway, I might be an alcoholic. I think it's worth the 20 minute drive to fill up twice a month.

And yeah the smell is different/better than pure gas, reminds me of a wedding reception with all the cans of sterno burning.

I am running E85, and am seeing around 750HP....but I have a few other supporting mods :driving:

When u refer to a blower as a "supporting mod" you MIGHT have a hp addiction lol

I have been running E85 for a few tanks and i live the way the truck feels. My tuner said if i ran strictly E85 he could pull more power out of it. But due to my work situation i dont know if E85 will be available in the areas i get sent to.

The thing to keep in mind when using E85, is that you have to run a few miles right after fill up (~7-10) when switching between that and regular gas. If not, your computer will not be running the system efficiently.
