Prior to installing these, did you also do the BCM flash that provided more voltage to the headlights? I know the 14s experienced this issue and GMC released the following TSB # PIT5374B to address it. I'm trying to determine if the BCM update would be beneficial or if it's not needed with this new set of lights.

Thanks,
Matt

I recently had my truck in for service to do small 4-5 recall items. Not sure if the BCM flash was done. The new lights are strong enough that I don't notice my ProBox/Rigid fogs adding as much to the throw as before

I believe LED are voltage range tolerant and output isn't affected much by voltage variation.  But some of the electrical engineers we have may chime in with better info.

I noticed my left DRL ring has an intermittent flicker.  It does it only when the engine it running.  It doesn't flicker all the time.  But about half the time it flickers.    Any help would be appreciated.  Is this a capacitor issue or a headlight assembly issue? Wiring?  I have the short jumper harnesses from the OP.

will remove dash errors on most vehicles with bulb self check systems. Will also fix flickering of DRL's when used in conjunction with one of our HID harnesses.

Denali? There were a couple Denalis/6.2L that had this issue. Havent seen any 5.3L with a flicker. If I remember correctly they flickered only when the turn signal was applied. Both were fixed using the drl mod. There is no capacitor on the DRL Its using factory functions. The cap is on the low beam only. Only one side?

Just finished my headlight and tail light upgrades. Truck looks great! Much thanks to zmnypit for the adapters and technical support.

I have the 5.3L SLT. and my driver side DRL flickers every once and a while. What DRL mod fixes this?

Before I swapped headlight assemblies, I added the first version of the vled lmz led lights, had a very faint flicker on my passenger side lol. Couldn’t notice unless I was at a stop light and could see it reflecting on the vehicle in front of me. Never noticed it driving though. 2015 SLT.

Hard to say. I know it did on the denalis but I have yet to see any 5.3s that flicker. I've asked around as well as check with all the locals and not one has seen or noticed a flicker. Im scratching my head on the 5.3

Has anyone ran into the truck throwing a code to onstar after swapping assemblies? I’ve noticed in the monthly email diagnostic reports for a good year or more, that there are items needing immediate attention in bold red letters in the opening paragraph. But when you look at the systems, everything is shown as good.

Well I was in for an oil change and I asked the dealer a couple weeks back to look it up for me, they said it had L/R headlights shown as the problem, but couldn’t see anything other than that and referred me to onstar. I called onstar and opened a case. I told them my lights work fine, And the dealer checked them as well and everything was working fine to them.

Onstar got back to me and here’s the email below, any idea what these codes mean?

I have worked case number 84995610 for your 2015 GMC Sierra, and have resolved the issue.

The OnStar Vehicle Daignostics (OVD) emails was showing there was a diagnostic alert for your vehicle this month requiring immediate attention, but there was nothing listed below that needed attention.

The diagnostics did show alerts are for left front head lamp and right front head lamp for your vehicle and that's what triggered that warning at the top of the email. We don’t currently have a fix to include the bulb alert in the email display.

The problem codes are legit though for the bulbs and those codes are B2575 and B2699. I know you stated the dealership already looked into the issue and found nothing wrong, but the computer system in the vehicle is still reporting these codes. Please refer to the service department of your dealership with those codes to be addressed or cleared.

If you have additional questions or concerns, we can be reached at the number listed below, or you can reply to this email.

Thank you,
Kelly
