2500 front bumper on 1500?

Has anyone done this? I only ask because a neighbor down the street put a 2500 front bumper on his 2012 and it's really good ( yes I know it's a different style ) but I didn't see any pics of a 14-15 Silverado. Curious how it would looks with it being a bit more beefy.

you cant just bolt a 2500 bumper on and use your 1500 grill and headlights you have to fab up a mount, or you can do the full swap, hood, bumper, grill, and headlights. me personally i like the 2500 bumper with the 1500 parts on it

I kinda gave up on this....sucks because I can get plenty of white painted 2500 bumpers around here to install, but because I dont wanna deal with fabbing things, I just gave up

Look at them side by side. The general design may be similar but doesn't mean it's a direct bolt on swap. Even the new '16-'17 front style change on the 1500s you have to swap out the entire front clip.

Hmm I would've thought that there would be alot more similarities.. from a manufacturing cost standpoint. I suppose not lol

fenders are the same 14-17 ..... to do a HD or 16-17 swap you need headlights , grille , bumper and hood ..... and of course any wiring or plug differences
