Dent in exhaust pipe cross over section

I noticed that the section of exhaust pipe that crosses over from the left side of the engine to join with the right has a dent. I do not go off-roading so I suspect it may have been there since new. This isn't the sort of thing a person would notice on pre-delivery inspection nor could I prove I didn't hit anything over the past 11,000 kms. It does hang down lower than the frame cross members. I imagine this piece is vulnerable when off-roading and dings and dents are a common problem. Do these get repaired. replaced or ignored?

The crossover is compressed into an oval shape for ground clearance. At the bends, it can leave an indention that may look like it got dented. Got a picture?

X2, stock you pipe is flattened a bit. I noticed that when I removed it.

Thanks. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow. You may be right about the bends because the indentation is close to a bend.

My 16 is like that also. Debating on if it's worth replacing it with a section of pipe when I have my exhaust done. I'd imagine with the factory cats and manifolds it's probably not Wirth replacing. Anyone know the size of pipe right off?

You're absolutely right about the over thinking part and the tickling idea! I do appreciate the confirmation that dents in the exhaust system have no negative impacts on function. It annoys me though that they may be caused by slopping handling during delivery or service at my dealership. I am the only driver of this vehicle.
