2016 wheel well molding

So 18 year old son borrowed truck and it came back with the black molding over the wheel well on the passenger side sort of hanging off the truck - it and the mudflap are toast. It appears there is only one screw and the rest are just pop in clips of some kind. I was a little pissed when I ripped it off so I'm not sure if I even have the clips. Does anyone know if they are just clipped on and when you order the molding does it come with the clips? I'm thinking I can just buy another molding and pop it back on and be done.

Any help is appreciated.

Call your local dealership, I am sure it will be individual parts, so you need the trim, screws and clips.

Make you son pay for the parts, you break you buy.

Oh he will be paying. He wasn't doing anything stupid - apparently a big rig lost its retread in front of him and he hit the rubber. luckily it wasn't worse. always more to the story i guess.

As a motorcyclist, I HATE RETREADS! ought to be outlawed.

I installed the OEM molding for the Silverado......has 9 torx head screws from and 10 torx head screws for the rear (longer ones provided with moldings to replace the original screws to allow for the thickness of the molding) . No pop-ins.

Most likely just ripped all of the screws right out of the holes. You will know if the replacement screws will not tighten in right.

My Kid did the same thing to our Ford Escape took it into a field and ripped all of the screw except one form the underside air dam that cover the entire engine compartment .

Now FORD used the tiniest most pathetic screw possible to hold this thing on. I put in 5 heavy duty stainless steel lags and it has never came off again.

I also put the fear of GOD in her for doing it.

OH and just FYI this thing has to come off just to do an oil change UGG.

Valet parking scraped mine pretty bad on my 14 and I got lucky and found it on eBay with all clips for like 25 bucks or something. A lot of dealerships will pull them off and put fender flares on and then sale the original trim.

Is there some type of fender lip molding that fits the Silverado, similar to what's on the Sierra, without having to go to something like the Bushwick error?
