Driver Seat "Moving"?

Recommended Posts

I just noticed slight movement/click/pop in mine on Saturday. It's a 2015 sierra denali with just under 6000 miles. I search the forum and found a thread that was going. Used the tips in provided. I went an extra step farther ans I installed some rubber tubing that I had in my garage. Slit it down the middle and wrapped it around the seat bracket on each sode the white bracket on the side closest to the drivers door then used hose claps on either side to hold the tubing tight against the white bracket and so far it has worked like a charm. If anyone needs pics let me know and I'll get some. Took me 10 minutes and did not have to waste time with the dealer.

So here are some pictures of what I did. I read through the other post that was going and went a little further. Here is a pick of the tubing I used to wrap around the round metal seat adjustors bracket.

I cut a few small pieces and slit it open so I could wrap it around the round metal seat adjusts. Figured I could get it to hold tighter once I added the hose clamps around it.

Here is the final result. 3 days of driving and no more movement or clicking/popping.

Here is a closer shot of what I did as well

Also figured if I use the hose with claps I could get it against the white bracket tighter and won't have to deal with readjusting like some others have had to do. Note this is on the side of the drivers seat closest to the door.

Seat still adjusts like normal without and issues.

My driver seat just started doing this at 5,000 miles. When turning left or right the seat feels like it moves slightly and there is a click feeling there.

I would have thought this issue would be resolved by 2018 model year?

Exactly how i fixed mine. Highly recommended. Cheap and fast.

Better than even the "factory clip fix" IMHO
