New Crew Cab - Experience So Far

Did you explain to them that the tires are covered under your bumper to bumper warranty? Also, have them check to see if there is a log for Tire Pressure if your truck has the sensors. Somebody else may know better than me but I believe the truck can log this data. My thought here is that if there is and the pressure was within the limits of the operating range it will be easier to prove that the tire was faulty.

Sorry about your truck.

Depends if it blew out because of a defect or if something was ran over, either way the tire can be taken to a Goodyear dealer and it will be replaced if defective if its that new.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the stock tires BFGoodrich Duelers?

Whatever they are, my '15 and '16 GM truck has Goodyears. But the same thing applies, a BF Goodrich tire dealer will replace it if defective.

A blown out tire is not covered by the warranty unless there is a defect in the tire.

They are telling me that it appears something slashed the tire to cause it to burst...still unsure about that. Anyway, what gets me the worst is that they want full retail and labor for the tire, seriously? I juamst bought the truck, at least be nice and offer me cost on the dang thing.

If you have a local tire dealer that sells the failed tire it never hurts to let them look at it, with such low mileage they may be able to replace or at least sell you a new one at a better deal. If not shop around, dealer service department will pay the same amount for a tire that will most likely and they have to make some money. Not a huge markup on tires..

Ask to speak to the service manager. Let him know that you are going to make sure your experience is reflected in your survey (pretty sure these surveys relate to $ for those involved, my dealership talks about them a lot). Let them know that this experience hasn't been all that great and you will make sure to post it on Yelp and other car buying websites so people know not to choose that dealership.

Little update:

New evap core showed up last week, however it must have been damaged in shipping because it was broken. Truck is still there, new core showed up yesterday so hopefully it's all good and I will have my truck this week with a cold AC and Line-X.

Have you had an AM/FM static issues on your new 16?

I only listened to the AM/FM when I was charging my phone so I could use Spotify, didn't have any static and HD Radio seemed to be working fine.

Went to pick the truck up today after ot being there for 8 days...tech gets in it saying he will pull it around for me. Shows up 5 minutes later saying it's still having the same issue they claimed they fixed! I dont have time for this crap and so far all they've offered to help is 2 free oil changes. Whoopee. Still refusing to help with the tire or the countless hours I've spent in there waiting for them to fix this issue they seem to be clueless about.

So now they ordered a new BCM which "should fix the issue." I asked for a new truck as I've only put 200 miles on this one and all they told me is if it isnt fixed after this GM will buy it back. That's reassuring..

Update, got the truck back, lights work and now my AC went out. Gotta take it back in again. I wanna burn this thing to the ground at this point. It has only 400 miles on it...
