New Crew Cab - Experience So Far

Geez now I feel bad posting my update.

I got my truck back yesterday, AC works great. Blowing ICE cold. Line-X turned out great. I'm a happy customer. Can't wait to put a grill on there and level it to hold me over until it's time for the lift & wheels/tires.

Yes, nice dealer. Ive been bent over, got my truck back last week...I drove to my destination on my honeymoon and A/C went out again. I'm going to park my truck at the dealer. I refuse to take this goddamn truck.

In other news for me, just got my 7" full throttle suspension lift. Lift goes to powder coat tomorrow (color matching my paint), still looking for wheels and tires. Thinking either 22x12 Hostile Sprockets in chrome with 35" Toyo Open Country tires or 22x12 American Force Jades with the same tire.

I've already debadged the truck and will be installing a billet grill and bumper inserts shortly. Also pulling reflectors out of the headlights and painting the bow tie to match the truck.

Can't wait to finish this truck!

Im not understanding why they would replace your expansion valve twice, then say it's the evaporator. That makes no sense. Sounds to me like you got dirt /crud floating around in your system or something for them to replace the txv twice. I think you have a lot bigger problems than the txv and evaporator. Tell them to flush the system with some R-11 flush , before they charge the system with refrigerant again. This is time consuming so they may not want to. Something may of let loose internally in your compressor or something and it's floating around in there. Not trying to make you paranoid, but there is a bigger problem here.

First time the service center loaded the system with dye so the residual dye made it hard to tell if it was only the expansion valve or if the evap core was bad as well.

When the first expansion valve was replaced a seal was crimped, the tech who replaced it noted that the residual dye made it difficult to tell if evap was bad and if it didn't work this time then the evap would have to be replaced. Once they replaced the evap core it has been blowing icicles ever since so it sounds like they got it...

Ok. So there was a leak obviously for them to put dye in. Glad it's fixed and all straightened out for you now. Enjoy your new truck , looks nice!!

If you all need any accessories, would love to help. We have couple of toys at www.eTruckGear.com and offer honest service ( ex. with 100 % positive Amazon feedback we try hard to be there for the customer)

Stop by on Internet and take a look. Tonno Pro is a nice brand to look at. Not that well known but super quality and low price. We are also Weathertech approved, meaning warranty applies as opposed to purchases on Amazon. Will be glad to help.
