Skid Plates?

Anyone know the actual part number for the gm aluminum skid plates. The listed (3 piece) number now just pulls the plastic "splash guard" up in the GM system. Before I go to great lengths getting something designed and dabbed up I'd like to try and get my hands on these factory GM pieces. I've suffered a bit of crossmember damage due to the lack of protection under the front of these trucks. Pitiful.

The picture on GM's site is of the plastic shield but you get the aluminum ones. I just got mine last week and had them sprayed in Line-X.

I really wanted red but it was crazy expensive. Here they are installed...

IMO this is how it should be from the factory.

Where did you order them from and around how much did you pay? I found this pn23176881 for 181+25 shipping to me on DirectGM.com

I ordered from my dealer. $225 + tax. Could I have gotten it for less online? Yes but I like my dealer and they treat me well. Part numbers depend on engine.

Appreciate it. My dealer is a real Mc A-hole and wants a hair over 300+tax and special order shipping fee. Whatever that crap is. So I'll order it my darn self. Thanks again. Let us know how that line x holds up.

About a years worth of mud and grass etc. lots of cuts in the plastic. My truck lives off the pavement 90% of the time. Got a hell of a bend on the driver side crossmember under the t case.

About 25lbs after it was all scraped out of guard and the 2 support braces under the diff.

Geez that is high considering retail is $250. I expect it will hold up fine as I don't off-road but didn't like the idea of plastic. Had GM painted the aluminum black I probably wouldn't have sprayed them but I didn't like the raw aluminum. If I hit something hard enough to damage the plate then the plastic wouldn't have protected anything.

Did you remove the 2 thin braces under the front diff when you bolted up the new bottom skid?

Yes they have to be removed.
