Maybe we should be asking B1gted...since he's the only one who actually got these boards from them?

My bad guys. When I looked at the OP's link it showed I had previously purchased this item, so I just assumed it was from the same seller on Amazon. Now when I click on OP' s link it shows sold by Amazon and says I have previously purchased. So Amazon does some strange stuff it looks like. So I went to my order history and looked at my AMP purchase.

I purchased at full price directly from Amazon.

And below is the link from the Original Poster. As you can see it has changed to Amazon as the seller. At top you see it says You purchased this on May 17

It said the same thing "You purchaed this on May 17th" when it was still showing redline as the seller.

Of course Amazon jumped on board selling these, they have flags in the system for hot items. They probably waited until the seller stock was "0" and put theirs up; albeit slightly higher price but cheaper then anywhere else.

Holy crap!! That deal went south fast. Been out of town all week so haven't been able to log on.

SWMBO wouldn't let me pull the trigger after I posted this.

Sorry about the hassle guys

I already have my money back from Amazon. Wasn't that big of a hassle. Expected worse

Well, I too jumped at the chance to buy the AMP Research 7615401A power steps for $876.00 on Amazon. I realized right away the tracking number Redline provided was bogus. UPS never has and never will use the letter "O" in tracking numbers to avoid any confusion with the number "0" (see the difference?). I contacted Amazon, cancelled the order, got my money back and was able to grab the next best price of $970.31 before it disappeared. The power steps are worth the price, I wish I had found this thread sooner to let everyone know sooner.

Quick question about the boards themselves. If you open the driver door, does the passenger step fold down too?

No, the boards stay in the stowed position until the door on that particular side is opened.

If you need any accessories, would love to help. We have couple of toys at www.eTruckGear.com and offer honest service ( with 100 % positive Amazon feedback we try hard to be there for the customer)

Stop by on Internet and take a look. Tonno Pro is a nice brand to look at. Not that well known but super quality and low price. We are also Weathertech approved, meaning warranty applies as opposed to purchases on Amazon. Don't like Weathertech? We have Husky or Maxliner. Will be glad to help.

So I did end up getting the $970 price that was active when I initially added the steps to my cart, but went up before I completed my purchase. Whew...

I installed them this past weekend and absolutely love them. My girlfriend can get into the truck much easier now, and my two year old steps up on them before having to be picked up and put in her car seat anyway lol. I didn't particularly need them, but it is definitely convenient. I would still recommend getting them even though they're at $1272 after tax on Amazon now. Still cheaper than the $1399 you find pretty much everywhere else.

I didn't have time to install the lights so I just electrical taped the leads and zip tied them out of the way. Might do that next weekend, but I've heard that the output and color especially leave a lot to be desired...

those lights are like an 8K LED, definitely looks like crap when my puddle lights on the mirrors are like 6K.. but everyone that sees them at night are blown away.. if I could find a 6K LED that I can tape on like the ones that came with the kit, that would be AWESOME!
