Anyone Has A Ready Lift 2.25" Leveling Kit Installed?

I am looking at getting a leveling kit installed at my chev local dealer, They tells me they uses the 2.25" readylift kits. I'm just curious on is a 2.25" kit too big? I have seen a few saying on here that they used different kits such as a 1.75" kit or 2". Also Is readylift a good name brand of kits?

I would like to know peoples input on the 2.25" kit on a new 2016 Silverado. Also if anyone got pictures it be great so I could get a idea on what it would look like.

Could I fit 275/70/18 on stock rims with a kit?

Any information or pictures be appreciated.

I have a kit that was made by my installer (they machine their own) but modeled after the readylift so the specs should be the same. I also increased the rear blocks by 1 inch. Before the cap it had some rake but now with the cap it sits almost perfectly level. I went up to 275/60/20 tires and I have slight rub on my UCA's but not enough to hurt anything and I avoid full lock just to be sure.

Here is one pic before the cap but you can view my gallery for more.

notice any change in fuel economy?

notice any change in fuel economy?

Extremely hard to say... I essentially have a mini-lift, slightly larger tires (3.4%), removed the lower valance from the front air dam, Fiberglass cap, etc. I have seen a slight drop since I put the tires on but technically I should be increasing my recorded mileage by 3.4% to compensate for not correcting my odometer. I track my mileage on the fuelly website. I don't go by the Driver Information Center although I'd say it's fairly accurate. My mileage for the life of my truck is is 16.4 (a little over 10K miles). Mileage for the last 10 fuel ups was 16 flat. I drive 35 miles to work 4 days a week. The rest of my trips are typically shorter. The larger tires were installed between 8-9K miles because I got a nail in a sidewall and figured it was a good time to make the jump since I had to buy 1 tire anyway.

I have the Ready Lift. No change in mileage on stock rubber. Ready Lift has been around a long time. Very proven product.

Hi, I have that kit installed on my 2014 Sierra SLT X71. It came with 20" wheels. It was one of the few kits my local GMC dealer would install for me. It was perfect. Brought the front up to just under actual level with the back end. MPG difference is negligible. I didn't notice much, if any, difference. I am looking at new tires now and was told anything up to 33 inch will fit.

I have heard that the trucks the stamped steel arms are limited to 1.5 inches of lift before they rub the springs.

The ReadyLift kit puts a spacer above and below the strut keeping the geometry pretty stock The dealer had no problem with 2.25 inch kit. Any more than that he said they couldn't do it and still cover it under warranty.

Just curious, but what makes the ready lift kit cost 5x as much as the RC lift?

The difference in prices for spacer kits is extraordinary. Check out MotoFab before making a choice. My dealership promotes ReadyLift (probably good profit) but has no concern installing my MotoFab.

i see motofab makes both a bottom and top kit for a 2" lvl. Any real issue doing one over the other? I'm assuming each one still requires an alignment afterwards?

I believe they are equally effective for our trucks but the bottom is much easier (less expensive) to install. Some trucks (Toyota?) don't appear to have the option of using bottom spacers. An alignment will be required with any type of level. or lift.

Also considering the 2.25" leveling kit. Would the front end look high? Or should I get rear blocks?

I installed the Pro Comp 2.25" leveling kit on my 2015 SIerra SLT Z71 with stock 20 inch wheels. Pro Comp is basically the same kit as Ready Lift, it consists of a 1.5" top of strut spacer and bottom of strut spacer to give you an additional .75" of lift. On my truck i noticed only a 2" difference after installation. Before install my front was exactely 3 inches lower than back now after install exactly 1 inch difference. But can't really tell with the naked eye. Installing 305/55/20 Nitto Terra Grappler G2's (4 ply version) in a few days. The 2.25" level kept ride exactly the same as stock. Hoping taller 4 ply Nittos will keep factory ride and mpg since not as heavy as an E rated tire. Like others said this is probably one of the better kits since it's a 2 piece which keeps shock and front symmetry as close to stock as possible.
