Headlight difference SLT vs denali?

Do the Denalis come with standard led lights and SLT come with hid?

Looks like SLT is halogen headlight with LED DRLs and the Denali is HID headlight with LED DRL.

SLE also gets the halogens, but the IntelliBeam is optiona

I came across this when looking at the Tahoe vs Yukon recently. It's honestly crazy that a $60k SLT has halogen lamps!

Mercedes still does this today... their GLS450 in base form has halogen headlights with a starting MSRP of 67k.

^^I was about to say, my 2017 SLT with the Premium Plus and Z71 Off Road packages has HID and LED's.

A loaded up SLT is the same as a Denali minus the grill, painted bumper, and MRC suspension. I preferred the SLT over the Denali anyway, I liked the chrome bumper better, not so many rock chips with a painted bumper like the Denali, and the SLT grill is vastly easier to clean too. I had the chrome mesh grill like the Denali has on my Ram Laramie, and getting all the dead bugs out of all the corners was a PITA. I didn't care about the MRC suspension, it's a truck not a sports or luxury car, and the trucks these days ride nice enough already anyway.

The 2016 Denali LED headlights are a huge improvement over my 2014 SLT Halogen. Did not know that I could have gotten the LED headlights on a SLT trim as an option but hey I kind of like EVERYTHING else on the Denali too LOL

^^^This is for the Sierra...Yukon models still only offer HID in the Denali. All other models are halogen only headlamps.

Wife has a Yukon , and I swear her headlights are different then the Yukon Denali's.

correct. If your yukon is an sle or slt, it has halogen projectors...the Denali has HID Projectors. Same headlight housing, however.

Yes, but I will say.... the Halogen headlights on the GLS450, even the earlier 2012 GL450 models, is about 50x brighter and clearer than the sierra's. Could just be the H7-55 bulb they use, but it's FAR superior.
