So tomorrow I'm heading to the GMC dealer to pick up a

2017 GMC Sierra SLT Crew Cab 4x4 with the 6.2 V8

I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions about this truck and look forward to discussing it and the truck with you guys.

Cheers

Picked the truck up today.

All is good.

Just have to get used to the stiff accelerator pedal and soft response from it.

Even with the 6.2 V8 unless you really press on the pedal and dip into it quite a bit, the truck accelerates a bit softly.

I know it's for gas mileage improvements this way you don't accelerate hard even when you don't really need or want it.

But it almost feels sluggish compared to my Ram Laramie which had a softer gas pedal and more aggressive tip in so you took off a bit quicker even under light throttle use.

But with only 25 miles on the odometer so far (just drove it home an hour or two ago) I know from a previous test drive of one, that if you jump on the throttle the big 6.2 moves out.

Other than the lack of the keyless push button start, it's got everything I could want (rarely do you get everything I guess).

Cheers guys.

Now recommendations on an axle back or catback exhaust?

This truck is also too quiet for a big V8. The Hemi had a nice dual exhaust burble to it that I miss in this truck.
