Anyone Running GMC Wheels On A Chevy?

Recommended Posts

I came across a set of GMC wheels that I think would look good on my black Chevy. Just curious if anyone is running GMC wheels on their Chevy. Is this a taboo to some? Thoughts on this please.

Actually the wheels have Chevy centers in them. I just could not find any pics on the net that made me believe they were Chevy wheels so I called them GMC. I think they would look awesome on a black truck.

I think OJ was being a wise guy, wink. There should be no issues and I think they'd look good too. I'm sure there a lots of pics of them on black gmcs which are pretty much the same from the side. Good luck!

GM will void your warrabty if they catch you running them.

No chance. I have already got 70k on the truck. About 25k a year.

So now I have looked at the wheels a little closer those are not the wheels I thought that were listed.

This is an actual picture of the wheels. They could be repops, not sure now.

everyone has those wheels. probably the most popular wheel at this time

Looks like Cooper Discoverer H/T in a 275 size best I can tell on my phone. Is that the same size as a factory 20 inch tire?

Posted

275 is the right width for stock, but those sidewalls look too short. Also those are replicas, not the real thing. They might be fine...they might not. Those are the GMC All-terrain wheels...as was mentioned above, they're pretty much the most poppular OEM wheel right now...find some real ones, they're everywhere.

You're right the tires are the wrong size at 275 45 r20. He says they are factory GMC wheels with Chevy center caps.

If you like them get them.. your money your truck.. check for cracks, bends.. and look throughly at the tires baldness, cracks.

Seeing as I have been cleaning my AT wheels for going on 3 years now, those do not look like OEM wheels. They are very close, but they are not OEM.

Probably oe. If check them out in person check behind the wheel and look for the good 'old GM stamp which should be there if there oem.

There is no way those are OEM wheels. The insert color is wrong, the machined finish is wrong and some other features do not match the OEM All Terrain wheel.
