Borla Touring installed

IMO If you're gonna be towing loads the touring may be better on Long trips. Much of the louder growl I hear is when in the power accelerating and maybe towing something heavy. Just highway cruising without a load and the S-type sound level is very mellow. I haven't yet but when i get a toy hauler I will know the answer to this myself.

Are the touring and s-types really as similar sounding as they are in the video? I was always under the impression and by youtube, that the touring was much quieter..?

To make the decision harder you also need to decide between the gm and the borla version.

GM Borla and Borla Touring sound the same. only difference is the V4 mode flapper which some notice and others don't

Does Borla not make systems for crew cab standard bed 6.2L's?

I installed the GMPP Borla Touring and it is loud enough when you stand on it. It settles down when you are cruising but you still know you have an exhaust system, if it was any louder when cruising I think it could get annoying.

No buyers remorse, it sounds great. Nice to be able to step on the throttle and hear it roar, but i don't want to listen to that on a 2 or 3 hour trip down the freeway. The Touring quiets down pretty good on the freeway but like i said you still know it's there. Just wouldn't want it to be any louder on a long drive. I also have the Airaid MIT, hard to say what that does for the sound (or mileage). ShopChevy had the best price when I got my exhaust, the install was simple, done in the driveway.

Not claiming the GM Borla exhaust and CAI combo improved my mpg but it sure improved the fun of driving. As stated earlier by another poster anything louder than the touring would be annoying to me on a long trip.

Did you get the GM CAI to go with the GM borla? Any chance you could post a YouTube video of the in cab acceleration and cruising sound?
