I thought this was a website to ask questions and get information? From what I see its a bunch of middle aged dudes who think they are the shit and are all high and mighty on this forum.

Well that describes a good portion of GM Truck drivers in this day and age.. but you know. wait.. I mean!!!!!

Now if everyone can put their measuring sticks away for a bit, to get this back on topic- What did the tint shop have to say regarding the scratch?

This is what I would do, take the truck back and tell them you need it fixed, if they cannot have the scratch removed " check with safelite auto glass they claim they can just do about anything with glass" if it cannot be repaired then I would ask for a OEM replacement window, but give them first chance at making it right.

I am surprised they are still hand cutting with the film plotters they have now, but your scratch tells me they were cutting the film for the upper right rounded corner of the window to fit the film just inside of your dot matrix around the window.

I tinted on a pro level when I was a teenager, so long ago that the film was dye colored instead of the ceramic they have now and I scratched one window with my knife and offered to pay for the window or free tint job to the guys truck I scratched, he laughed about it and said it will have more scratches than that in a few months and still he paid me for the job.

They knew when they scratched your window, the tint knife feels like you are cutting on a dirty window, "grainy" type cut you feel and they should have told you that before you left.

Also if you followed instructions about rolling the windows down giving the film time to seal properly and their film peeled like that, either they do not know what they are doing or the film they used is crap.

Alright I need some opinions on what I should do. I bought a new truck a few weeks ago and had the windows tinted on the 23rd of Dec. I just took the truck back to them yesterday to fix 2 front windows that already started peeling and it was fixed under warranty. Well I wash my truck today and notice the back window has a huge scratch on it from them trimming the film. Its pretty ****ing irritating because Ive only had the truck a few weeks. What would you do in this situation? 02e3173b8fe67618d10afe477f84b98a.jpg157a10ac7bd2f38d8cb55553a709c6a3.jpg

fixed? No dealt with yes. They have to retint all 4 windows yet again for the 3rd time. This place has been a nightmare. I cant speak to the manager because he's out of town. I have not taken it back for the retint, at this point I will be asking for a full refund to take my business elsewhere

    • Because single shot injectors are ancient and multi hole injectors provide smoother running engines and sharper throttle response due to the fuel being atomized better..the best lead I have is a 24lb blue top injector almost everything matches up but the injector will put out about 26lb/hr which is just outside the gm threshold.figured id ask here to see if there was an absolute answer
    • Why is my question?   Any change in injectors requires a tune. Unless you are going back with the OEM part number or a newer part number of that same injector.   Any size difference or type difference like the EV6 style injectors all have different injector data for them. And there is no EV6 injector that matches the factory 25 lb/hr size that your truck comes with. I've been messing with these trucks and tuning them for a long time and what you trying to do doesn't exactly make sense to me.
    • My 6.6 gas lt8 had lifter noise with 28000 miles bought new 2026 and while driven to dealer it threw #1 rod bearing “HD my ass” good luck with yours i hope it don’t turn a rod bearing!
    • When a condition becomes a business model.    https://www.gm-trucks.com/gm-truck-suv-incentives-pricing-2026/   Zane posted this in "Latest Articles".    The honest bottom line   Truck buyers have spent three years assuming this is a temporary condition that will break once inventories normalize. GM just presented it to investors as a durable strategy, on a chart, as evidence of good management.   Inventory did normalize. GM is at 511,000 units and squarely inside its own 50 to 60 day target. The discounts still did not come back, because the low incentive number is the goal rather than a symptom of shortage.   Plan your purchase around that reality instead of waiting for it to change. Follow our ongoing GM News coverage for pricing and incentive changes as the next-generation trucks land.
    • Thought it was raining this morning when we woke. Nope. Dew point was over 80 F and humidity 98%. Zero visibility distance. Everything was 'sweating'. I've seen rain come out of clouds but never out of Pepper or the tree trunks.    Wicked storms just missed us sliding off to the east but by blocks. Heat index about 110 F with air temp in the 90's.    This is  our third wave this month of multiple days of this type of weather. And yet the grass is going dormant and the ground is cracking this side of the street and water up the the hood opposite. Just weird stuff going on.
